Jovenes del Hierro, Miami's most popular Cuban American Charanga orchestra of the 1970's, featured some of the greatest Salsa musicians of the first wave of Cuban immigrants who migrated to the U.S. The band featured German Bas (vocals); Jimmy Gorelick (conga, background vocals); Aldo Matinez (bajo); Juanito Mendez (timbal); Agustin Jauma (flauta); Jose Dono (piano); Arnaldo Valienete (guiro, background vocals); Jose W. Gomez (violin, background vocals); Julio Santos (violin) and Mario Varona (violin). Presented here is their classic 1976 album, "Salsa con Flauta," finally available in the digital domain. All selections newly re-mastered.
