Internationally recognized yoga instructor Rodney Yee came to yoga from a career as a ballet dancer, and is now the co-director of the Piedmont Yoga Studio in Oakland, CA; his practice is based on the Iyengar method, but he relies also on his own intuition and experience to guide him. His teaching is augmented by a deep understanding of the essentials of each pose, as well as his articulate communication skills, and he has brought this excellence in teaching to over 20 videos and DVDs. In this instructional, Yee aids the viewer's progress to the intermediate level through an introduction to new, more demanding inverted poses and an exposition of how to get more out of familiar poses.
