Live 1990 (2CD)

LIVE 1990 collects the seventh and eighth of The Wedding Present s infamous live tapes, cassettes that the band sold at concerts and through their fanzine in the 80s 90s. The recordings were unavailable anywhere else. Fans eagerly collected them and they became very rare. This is the fourth in the series of these much-demanded CD and digital re-releases - Live 1987, Live 1988 and Live 1989 have all been graciously received by the press and the band s record buying public. Live 1990 includes a recording of The Wedding Present s first ever performance in North America, at the legendary Maxwell s club in Hoboken, New Jersey. The live set at this time drew heavily from the band s recently released major label debut album, Bizarro but there are also early versions of tracks that were to end up on the Bizarro s critically acclaimed successor, Seamonsters. In 2012, the band are celebrating the 21st Anniversary of the release of Seamonsters by playing the album live in Europe, Japan and North America, as well as releasing their new studio album.
